**** Via Halifax Professional Firefighters Today marks 28 years since the tragic crash of Swissair Flight 111 On September 2, 1998, the flight went down in the Atlantic Ocean near the entrance to St. Margaret’s Bay, claiming the lives of all 229 people on board. Today, Halifax Professional Fire Fighters remember those who were lost, the families forever impacted, and the countless responders — including our own members —and community members who came together in the aftermath.
