**** Via HRFE Stn 16 2026 FIRE PREVENTION OPEN HOUSE The Eastern Passage–Cow Bay Firefighters Association invites you and your family to join us for our annual Fire Prevention Open House! 📅 Saturday, October 3, 2026 ⏰ 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM 📍 Eastern Passage Fire Station 16, 1807 Caldwell Rd 🎟️ FREE COMMUNITY EVENT Come spend the day with us for a fun, family-friendly event focused on fire prevention, emergency preparedness and community safety! EMERGENCY & COMMUNITY DISPLAYS Get an up-close look at emergency vehicles, equipment and displays, meet firefighters, first responders and community organizations, and learn more about the people and services that help keep our community safe. FIRE PREVENTION & SAFETY Learn more about fire prevention, emergency preparedness, first aid, CPR and practical ways you can help keep your home and family safe. SAFETY ITEMS IN SUPPORT OF THE EASTERN PASSAGE FOOD SECURITY SOCIETY Help keep your family safe while supporting our community! This year, we’ll have a limited supply of: Fire Extinguishers Fire Blankets Glove Box First Aid Kits These safety items will be available in exchange for a food or monetary donation to the Eastern Passage Food Security Society (EPFSS). Bring a non-perishable food donation or make a monetary donation at the event and choose from the available safety items while supplies last. All donations collected through this initiative will go directly to EPFSS to support its work addressing food insecurity in our community. **Quantities are limited and available while supplies last.** FREE FOOD, ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT There will be lots happening throughout the day with free food, family activities, demonstrations, entertainment and more! Come for lunch, explore the displays and enjoy a great day with the family — all at no charge. DOOR PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS This year, we’ll also have some great additional prizes thanks to the generosity of **local businesses and community partners!** Visit participating booths and displays throughout the Open House to collect tickets for your chance to win one of our **door prizes**. More information about the prizes and participating sponsors will be announced leading up to the event! A FREE EVENT FOR OUR COMMUNITY Our Fire Prevention Open House is about more than just fire trucks. It’s an opportunity to bring our community together while making fire prevention, emergency preparedness and life-safety education accessible to everyone. There is no admission fee, and our food, activities and entertainment are provided free of charge. Bring the family, meet your local firefighters and community partners, check out the emergency equipment, learn something new and enjoy a great day at Station 16!
