In photos - Zapping along with Camp Courage as EHS day 1 pulsed on!

A challenging, but educational day as the campers went hands on with EHS. With stations revolving around airways and injured, campers dug in as mentors provided guidance and support.

Campers learned about cardiac and airway issues, putting their new knowledge to use at choking, CPR, and more.

Using equipment such as EKGs and AEDs, blackboards and splints, paramedics (including DND) were eager to share lifesaving skills and show a small glimpse into the world of emergency health. Even learning how to birth a baby, the campers had a busy day.

Communications gave a demonstration including information about their job in dispatch. With a recorded sample of a medical 911 call included, the campers saw a glimpse into their intense but vital role.

And a big thank you to the Salvation Army who once again are providing delicious food (and slowing down a certain photographer with extras!).
