People were invited to Police Day to speak with officers and learn first-hand about the work of various specialized HRP units such as Explosive Unit, Forensic Identification Section and Public Safety Unit.
National Police Week is an initiative from the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police.
It is a seven-day public awareness campaign that provides citizens with an opportunity to better understand the role of police in their community and encourages new connections between police and the communities they serve.
