The course, being taught by Special Operations Consulting Canada and an enormous amount of support from Ruggles Towing and Recovery Services, revolves around technical aspects when a heavy vehicle rescue is needed.
From lift points and center of gravity to accessing trapped occupants, safety and efficiency is always top priority.
This training is part of a series of exercises involving technical training that will span over nearly a week, including trench rescues coming up.
HRFE members continuously train for a broad variety of situations they may be called to, with many members branched out in more advanced training such as water and ice rescue, HUSAR teams and technical rescues, ensuring that members stay refreshed and ready for any emergency.
