Speak of the devil! Osprey are coming back to NS,
Oscar, Russell Lake's resident osprey, has returned home this morning after a winter down south!
As osprey return home, it's usually the males that get back first! They rebuild their nests, preparing for their mate (they mate for life).
Mating begins later in the spring, and youth will learn to fish before they themselves migrate south in the fall.
