RCMP Nova Scotia Emergency Response Team (ERT) members will be taking part in training exercises this week in Shubenacadie and East Hants

**** Via RCMP RCMP Nova Scotia Emergency Response Team (ERT) members will be taking part in training exercises this week in Shubenacadie and East Hants Residents in the area may notice increased police activity and see a Black Hawk helicopter operating as part of the exercises. This marks the first time a Black Hawk helicopter has operated in Nova Scotia. While the aircraft’s primary mandate is border patrol and national security, it also provides national support to ERT for tactical mobility operations. These exercises are carefully planned and conducted to enhance both public and officer safety. There is no risk to the public; however, residents may experience increased noise during training periods. We appreciate the public’s understanding as we carry out this vital training to ensure ERT members remain prepared to protect communities now and in the future.
