As 62% of Nova Scotia charities report a significant rise in demand for services, Good Robot Brewing is pivoting its nonprofit partnership strategy to provide more consistent support. Through the launch of Goodwill Trivia Mondays, the brewery aims to help this funding and volunteering gap by integrating charitable giving and awareness directly into the local hospitality scene. Since 2015, Good Robot has been a dedicated supporter of local causes through its Goodwill Programs, including Goodwill Bot, which helped raise over $120,000 for over 400 nonprofit organisations. This new weekly series builds on a long history of successful collaborations with organizations such as the Dartmouth General Hospital and Fly With Me Animal Rescue. The brewery aims to support a diverse range of partners, with upcoming trivia nights dedicated to Ecology Action Centre, Feed Nova Scotia, Cobequid Wildlife Fund, and Bide Awhile. 62% of Canadian charities report a significant increase in demand for their services. Currently, just 11% of the population carries 77% of the volunteer hours in Nova Scotia. Good Robot has donated over $120,000 cash for 400+ organizations.   The event features a "$1-per-pint" donation model. This ensures that every guest can contribute to vital local services simply by enjoying a night out with friends. The partner NPOs can also fundraise in creative ways, such as auctions. “Especially now, non-profits are in need and Nova Scotians are looking for something that gets them into their community,” says Joshua Counsil, Co-Founder and Director of Marketing at Good Robot Brewing. To keep the trivia fresh, each event (hosted by local comedian Brad Doiron) will feature some questions curated to the weekly charity partner, such as "Animals and Nature" for wildlife organizations. "We're excited," says Marcus Jamieson, Executive Director at TEAM Work Cooperative, a non-profit equitable employment centre and long-term community partner of Good Robot. "This event is about community building.
