The boil water advisory from Halifax Water remains in effect until further notice - comfort center established
A comfort centre will be open from 2:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the East Dartmouth Community Centre, 50 Caledonia Road in Dartmouth, to assist any residents who have not yet had water service restored. In addition, washroom and shower facilities are also available at the following municipal recreation facilities: o Cole Harbour Place, 51 Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth, from 12 to 9 p.m. o Zatzman Sportsplex, 110 Wyse Road, Dartmouth, from 12 to 10 p.m.

Municipal service impacts – Waverley Road water main repair – Dec. 7, 12:45 p.m.
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents about impacts to municipal services resulting from the water main repair currently underway by Halifax Water in the Waverley Road area.
Comfort centre
A comfort centre will be available from 2:30 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the East Dartmouth Community Centre, 50 Caledonia Road in Dartmouth, to assist any residents who have not yet had water service restored.
It is still to be determined if the comfort centre will need to reopen on Monday, Dec. 8.
In addition, washroom and shower facilities are also available at the following municipal recreation facilities:
- Cole Harbour Place, 51 Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth, from 12 to 9 p.m.
- Zatzman Sportsplex, 110 Wyse Road, Dartmouth, from 12 to 10 p.m.
Parks & Recreation (P&R)
At this time, there are no confirmed impacts to programming or bookings at P&R facilities. If that changes, users will be contacted by staff.
Halifax Transit
There are no significant impacts to Halifax Transit services. Route 55 is on detour due to the water main repair efforts, but no bus stops are impacted.

The boil water advisory from Halifax Water remains in effect until further notice. Additional information is available on the Halifax Water webpage.
Other information
Motorists should expect delays in the area of the water main repair work and are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
