Drinking water distribution program ending Dec. 14
The Halifax Regional Municipality, in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, is ending its drinking water distribution program on Dec. 14. The municipality has experienced significant rainfall over the last several weeks, with water levels in private wells returning to normal.
Since Aug. 13, when the program was introduced, the municipality has distributed over 458,000 litres of water to residents across the municipality. This program was successfully managed thanks to the volunteers from Joint Emergency Management, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency and Ground Search & Rescue teams.
