Halifax Regional Police and local children team up for CopShop

Holiday magic is on patrol at the 21^st annual CopShop, presented by Halifax Shopping Centre and Halifax Regional Police (HRP).

Taking place earlier today at Halifax Shopping Centre, this holiday tradition pairs HRP officers with local children for a special shopping spree, complete with a $250 gift card donated by Halifax Shopping Centre, a stocking full of surprises and a new winter coat from Sport Chek.

Now in its 21^st year, CopShop has paired more than 1,000 children with HRP officers in a celebration of community, connection and compassion. In the spirit of giving, Halifax Shopping Centre provides each shopping duo with a $10 gift card to help pay it forward. Each participant uses it to purchase a gift for a child of the same age, which the mall then donates to the Salvation Army Toy Drive.
