**** Via RCMP With off highway vehicle (OHV) season underway, Lunenburg District RCMP is ramping up patrols and enforcement while boosting education to help ensure a safer season for everyone on the trails. Working with partners across Lunenburg County – including Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources conservation officers, trail associations, and municipalities – we’re keeping safety front of mind, with a focus on high-traffic areas and peak riding times. We’re reminding all OHV users to: ✔️Ride sober ✔️Stay alert ✔️Always wear a helmet ✔️Report unsafe behaviour We all play a part in trail safety. Last weekend, a report from a concerned member of the public helped RCMP officers locate and arrest an impaired OHV operator in Cherryfield. Reporting unsafe behaviour can save lives and prevent serious injury. If you witness unsafe or reckless behaviour, report it to local police. If you suspect an impaired driver, call 911.
