Congratulations!
Hope was asked to give this year's keynote address at the 52nd annual Provincial Volunteer Awards, and was surprised to find she was also being awarded! Hope was presented with the Nova Scotia Honour of Volunteer Service Award for her decades of service to the communities of the province - both human and animal!
Awards were presented in four categories, recognizing youth, family, and newcomer volunteering, as well as the Strong Award, which recognizes resilience during a time of tragedy or struggle. Along with the those awards, municipalities and communities selected their own inspirational people to accept an individual Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing their outstanding service at the community level.
So many inspirational and dedicated people in one room! Congratulations and thank you to all who give of their time and effort to go above and beyond to help, Nova Scotia wouldn't be the same without you all.
