Residents advised of 311 service disruption
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of 311 service impacts taking place on Friday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. to Saturday, Sept. 26 at 11:59 p.m.
This service interruption is needed to complete a system upgrade to the municipality’s Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping application. This scheduled service disruption will result in service impacts to City works, software used by the 311 Customer Contact Centre and other business units.
During this service disruption, 311 will be limited to service requests addressing:
Property tax inquiries
Compliance
Permits and licensing
Urgent safety issues (e.g. downed tree, major pothole)
Online service requests will also be unavailable during the service disruption period.
Residents requiring assistance or wishing to report issues not listed above are asked to call or submit their online request on Sunday, Sept. 27 when service has resumed.
The municipality thanks residents for their patience and understanding as these important upgrades take place.
