Kings District RCMP charge a man for robbery
Kings District RCMP safely arrested and charged a man after a robbery at a business in Coldbrook.
On September 20, at approximately 10:40 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of a theft at a gas station in the 7000 block of Hwy. 1 in Coldbrook. General duty officers and Nova Scotia RCMP Police Dog Services attended.
On scene, officers learned that a man entered the business, displayed a weapon to staff, and demanded money. The suspect then left on foot.
There were no injuries reported.
Investigators conducted patrols of the area and located a man nearby who matched the specific descriptors of the suspect. He was safely arrested and officer located the weapon and cash in his possession.
Keith Phillip Millett, 38, of Kentville, appeared in Kentville Provincial Court on September 21. He is charged with Robbery, Wearing Mask in Commission of Offence, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
