27780RCMP NS has expanded its remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) program, strengthening our ability to support public safety operations in communities across Nova Scotia.

Drones assist frontline officers in a variety of situations, including time-sensitive searches for missing persons and lost or injured hikers, when every minute matters.

Operated by highly trained, Transport Canada-certified personnel, some drones can detect heat signatures and even communicate with individuals to provide guidance and reassurance while help is on the way.
