RCMP charges man with assault with a weapon in Pleasant Valley
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged a man with assault with a weapon and other offences following an incident in Pleasant Valley.
On September 30, at approximately 10:20 p.m., emergency services received a 911 call with no voice contact; however, yelling could be heard in the background. After a callback, officers learned a woman had been assaulted by a man known to her at a residence in the 7000 block of Hwy. 224. She also indicated that he had access to weapons and that she was leaving the residence for her safety.
The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.
As a precaution, nearby residents on Hwy. 224 were advised to shelter in place.
At approximately 2:20 a.m., with assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, RCMP Police Dog Service and a remotely piloted aerial system, officers safely arrested the man.
Officers executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen from Sipekne’katik. Officers also seized an airsoft pistol and an airsoft rifle.
Jordan Patrick Naugler, 27, has been charged with:
Assault
Assault with a Weapon (two counts)
Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm

Failing to Comply with Condition of Release Order (three counts)
