Online frustration at a closure of a well used pedway over Hwy 111 continues to grow weeks after a vehicle crashed into it
Users of the pedway have been calling for maintenance to make safe the structure to begin but have no information about when the work will start.

"Highway 111 Pedestrian Bridge Closure Update
We have received inquiries regarding the closure of the pedestrian bridge over Highway 111.
After speaking with municipal staff, we have confirmed that this bridge is a provincially owned asset and falls under the responsibility of Nova Scotia's Department of Public Works.
The Department has advised that there is currently no estimated reopening date. Bridge engineers are reviewing repair options and are working toward completing the necessary repairs as quickly as possible.
