Police request public’s assistance to identify robbery suspect
Police are requesting the public’s assistance identifying a man involved in a robbery that occurred last month in Dartmouth.
On September 21 at approximately 7:45 p.m. police responded to a report of a robbery that occurred in the parking lot at the Esso gas station, located at 174 Ochterloney Street. A man approached a woman’s vehicle and entered the vehicle while she was parked. The man, who was not known to the woman, threatened her with a needle and demanded she drive to an ATM to get cash. He then directed her to drive him to downtown Dartmouth where he exited the vehicle and fled with a quantity of cash. The victim was not physically injured.
The suspect is described as a white man with long light brown hair and a beard. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a thin black jacket, blue bandana, black hoodie, black pants, gloves, and grey and white sneakers.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by members of the Integrated General Investigation Section. Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or video from the area is asked to call police at 902-490-5020.
