Police Investigate Vehicle & Pedestrian Collision
At 11:21 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a vehicle & pedestrian collision in the 0-50 Block of Hammonds Plains Road, Bedford. An adult male was struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a parking lot. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and has been transported to the hospital. Investigators with Patrol, Accident Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Section are conducting the investigation, which is in the early stages.
Traffic Blocked: Traffic is blocked on Hammons Plains Road in both directions between the Bedford Highway and Doyle Street. Traffic will remain blocked for an extended period while investigators process the scene.
