Update
Police charge driver in vehicle/pedestrian collision
Police have charged a driver in relation to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred yesterday in Dartmouth.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. police were called to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that had occurred in the 600 block of Portland Street. A vehicle struck a 68-year-old Cole Harbour woman as she was crossing Portland Street in a marked crosswalk. The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening-injuries.
Investigators have charged the driver, a 65-year-old Cole Harbour man, for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Police are investigating a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred earlier today in Dartmouth.
At approximately 10:15 a.m. police were called to a vehicle/pedestrian collision that had occurred in the 600 block of Portland Street. A vehicle struck a woman as she was crossing Portland Street, and she was taken to hospital with life-threatening-injuries.
Investigators from the Accident Investigation Unit are on scene. The investigation is in the early stages and additional information will follow as it becomes available.
