What hasn't changed is our commitment to the communities we serve.
Across Nova Scotia, RCMP officers are shifting from grey uniform shirts to navy blue shirts, and officers now have the option of displaying their regimental number or name on their uniform tag. Next year, you'll see new RCMP vehicle designs as the fleet is renewed over time.
Officers can be identified by either their name or unique regimental number. Unlike surnames that may be shared by multiple officers, regimental numbers identify one specific officer, making it easier to recognize exceptional service, provide feedback, or raise concerns.
If you’re ever unsure of an officer’s identity, you can request identification or contact your local detachment’s non emergency line.
