LATE FOR SCHOOL? LET’S DO THE MATH!

21721A driver travelling 205 km/h in a 110 km/h zone on Hwy. 102 near #Hilden told our officer that they were late for school.

That’s one way to try to make up time.

It’s also a very good way to lose your licence.

Here’s the equation:

Leave late + Drive faster ≠ Arrive safely

What does add up?

📈 More stopping distance

📈 Less time to react

📈 Greater crash severity

📈 Greater risk to everyone else on the road

Northwest Traffic Services stopped the 25-year-old driver travelling 95 km/h over the posted speed limit.

The result:

Charged with stunting

Licence seized

Vehicle impounded

Being late might cost you a few minutes. Driving 205 km/h can cost a whole lot more.

No class, meeting, shift, practice or appointment is worth putting lives at risk.

The better formula?

Plan ahead + Leave on time + Slow down = Get there safely.

The lesson can wait. The laws of physics won’t.
