TRAFFIC ALERT | ST. MARGARET’S BAY ROAD
This morning, #hfxfirefighters responded to a motor vehicle collision near the Highway 102 overpass on St. Margaret’s Bay Road in Beechville.
A transport truck travelling with its hydraulic lift raised struck the overpass, causing debris to fall onto the roadway. A second vehicle subsequently collided with the debris.
Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported.
Our members remain on scene addressing a hydraulic fluid spill, while the Department of Public Works has been requested to inspect the overpass for damage.
Motorists should expect significant delays, particularly outbound on St. Margaret’s Bay Road, and are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
