At 9:00 AM this morning, #hfxfirefighters responded to reports of black smoke coming from Casino Nova Scotia and adjacent parkade on Upper Water Street.
Our members from Station 3 (West Street) arrived to a large amount of black smoke coming from the structure and upgraded the call to a second alarm, bringing additional crews and resources to the scene.
Thankfully, our members were able to quickly determine the source of the smoke was a malfunctioning generator. The situation was brought under control.
