An update on Gus the gopher tortoise, October 22, 2026
Gus had a follow-up appointment with his veterinary team today and he’s recovering well! On October 13th, Gus had surgery to remove a bladder stone. The surgery was successful and he has responded well to his post-surgery care plan. Gus will remain behind the scenes until late December. We will continue to provide updates on his progress.
A big, HUGE thank you to the veterinary team from the Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre who continue to provide care to Gus. We greatly appreciate you.
