**** NS Gov Release The Lake George wildfire is still out of control and grew slightly to an estimated 288 hectares due to ongoing dry, windy conditions No reports of damage to structures. The fire is burning deep and today’s high temperature will be a challenge. Crews are working hard to protect homes and other structures. Resources today include 35 Department of Natural Resources (DNR), 39 British Columbia and 23 local firefighters, 2 Newfoundland and 4 Northwest Territories planes, 1 DNR and 5 contracted helicopters, and 18 pieces of heavy equipment.
