**** Via NS Gov LONG LAKE WILDFIRES COMPLEX, ANNAPOLIS COUNTY, SEPTEMBER 4 The Long Lake wildfires complex remains out of control, still estimated at 8468 hectares. There are no new reports of damage. Crews have made good progress with dozer guards and laying hose lines, and aircraft water drops were very successful yesterday. Resources today include 10 helicopters, four planes and a bird dog in action. Firefighters on site include four Department of Natural Resources (DNR), 60 Ontario, 40 Quebec, and 60 local, along with about 30 pieces of heavy machinery.
