Update: Antigonish RCMP arrests Jeremy Nickerson, wanted on province-wide warrants

The Antigonish County Street Crime Enforcement Unit has arrested Jeremy Nickerson, who was wanted on a province-wide warrant.

Nickerson, 46, of Pictou County, was wanted for multiple offences, including weapons offences, assault, threats, and failure to comply with court conditions. After the arrest, which took place on October 18, he is now facing an addition charge of Resist Arrest.

“This arrest took place after significant investigation by our teams, but it would not have been possible without support from the public,” says S/Sgt. Kim Hillier, Antigonish RCMP Detachment Commander. “The tips and information provided by the Antigonish community were an important factor in the safe arrest.”

Nickerson appeared at Antigonish Provincial Court on October 23 and remains in custody pending future court appearances.
