West Hants RCMP Detachment search warrant execution leads to charges
West Hants RCMP Detachment seized drugs and charged a woman after executing a search warrant in Windsor.
On August 1, Southwest Nova Street Crimes Enforcement Unit (SCEU) and general duty officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Stannus St. after a lengthy investigation. Several individuals were safely arrested. Officers seized a quantity of cocaine, money, and other evidence supporting drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation, one person arrested is facing charges. Nicole Spence, 23, of Canning, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (two counts) under the Criminal Code, and several offences under the Nova Scotia Revenue Act (RA).
Spence was released from custody with a pending court date at Kentville Provincial Court. Several other people arrested at the time of the warrant execution were released without charges.

RCMP arrest two men for drug offences after traffic stop in Lower Sackville
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment arrested two men for drug offences after a traffic stop in Lower Sackville.
On August 12, at approximately 11:55 a.m. an RCMP officer was conducting proactive patrols in the area of Sackville Dr. and Sackville Crossroads when they observed a Ford Explorer with two male occupants travelling with a licence plate registered to a different vehicle.
A traffic stop was initiated and the officer learned the passenger had an outstanding warrant. The passenger was arrested and the vehicle was searched. Officers located cocaine in the vehicle and then arrested the driver. A further search of the driver and the vehicle found additional forms of cocaine, cash and other drug evidence.
The driver, a 41-year-old man from Middle Sackville, and the passenger, a 49-year-old man from Sipekne'katik, were released on conditions pending their upcoming court appearance. Both men will face a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
