2025 Atlantic hurricane season forecast
June 1 will mark the official start of the 2025 Atlantic hurricane season. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), we can expect an above average hurricane season this year in the Atlantic Basin. NOAA is forecasting 13 to 19 named storms, from which 6 to 10 could become hurricanes, and 3 to 5 of those could develop into major hurricanes (category 3, 4 or 5).
