Driving along this morning, I noticed an odd lump on the side of the road. It began to move and I realized it was an injured raccoon. Stopping the car, I took notice that the poor little fella was very haggard looking and dragging legs while trying to walk. I did not have anything to trap him in, but I did have Hope for Wildlife on speed dial!
Trying to keep the sluggish, but surprisingly alert and fiesty critter from getting into a nearby treeline and safe off the street, the rescuer arrived. He was safely contained and is on his way to a hopefully speedy recovery!
