Via DNR Attention provincial park campers: Effective immediately, Sun. May 28, campfires are prohibited at provincial parks in Southwestern NS due to fire index. Campfires are not permitted at Blomidon, Ellenwood Lake, Graves Islands, Rissers Beach & Thomas Raddall until further notice. This ban applies to provincial parks in Annapolis, Digby, Kings Lunenburg, Queens, Shelburne, & Yarmouth counties. Thank you for your cooperation. Provincial camping parks in the central and eastern regions of Nova Scotia continue to allow campfires using the campsite fire pits.
