Road Closure – Sackville Drive
Location: Sackville Cross Road and Sackville Drive Date: Monday, February 20 Time: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Details: This is to facilitate the Sackville Snow Days Parade. Traffic impact: The parade will begin at 45 Sackville Cross Road and end at 222 Sackville Drive. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. .Road Construction – Larry Uteck Boulevard
Location: Larry Uteck Boulevard at the intersection of Brookline Drive (north) and Broad Street (north)
Dates: Monday, February 13 to Monday, September 4
Time: Weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: Work will begin on the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection of Larry Uteck Boulevard, Brookline Drive and Broad Street. Initial work will involve site preparation and rock removal. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network and will improve access to and from current and future developments in Bedford West.
Traffic impact: No major delays are anticipated for motorists or cyclists during the initial stages of construction; however, altered centerlines and short-term lane reduction may be required at times on Larry Uteck Boulevard to complete the initial work. Further announcements will be issued for traffic disruptions during future stages of work.
