By Tuesday, July 7, 2020, we are anticipating all branches of Halifax Public Libraries will begin to offer in-person services specific to their location.
As of Tuesday, June 23, 2020 all branch Book Drops will be open to accept the return of physical items.
All branches will gradually open their doors again by following a staged approach. Various in-person services you expect to find at the Library will be reintroduced in stages as we move forward, and may look different at each branch. Everything you are used to finding at a Library branch may not be available just yet, but we promise they will be soon.
Currently, the Library is in Stage One of providing in-person service again. The services currently available to you are:
- Curbside Pick-up
- Virtual Library programs
- Online resources through our E-Library
- Opening of all Book Drops by June 23
For up-to-date information on the status of service at your local branch, please visit our Location pages.
Please note: Changes will be made to Location pages when information becomes available.
