Halifax District RCMP charged 58 drivers with impaired driving during the summer
Halifax District RCMP charged 58 drivers with impaired driving during the months of July and August 2022.
During the month of July, Halifax District RCMP charged 22 drivers with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, 10 drivers for Refusal of a Demand and another 35 drivers were issued driving suspensions for Operating a Conveyance While Having Consumed Alcohol.
For the month of August, Halifax District RCMP charged 20 drivers with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, six drivers for Refusal of a Demand and another 24 drivers were issued driving suspensions for Operating a Conveyance While Having Consumed Alcohol.
If you see dangerous driving, report it to police when it is safe to do so. It is helpful to include the location of the vehicle, a description of the driver and vehicle (including license plate number, colour, make and model) as well as the vehicle's direction of travel.
