.Traffic Delay – Bayers Road
Location: Intersection of Bayers and East Perimeter roads
Date: Saturday, June 12, 2021 Time: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Work details: This is to facilitate electrical work for new traffic signals. This work is part of the Bayers Road Transit Priority Corridor project.
Traffic impact: Traffic signals will be turned off with stop-and-go traffic in place while work is underway. Traffic personnel will be on-site to direct traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. .Update: Beginning Monday at 6 a.m. this section of Summer Street will be changed to one-way southbound traffic only. This change is expected to be in place for the next three weeks. During this time the transit stop on Summer Street, by Veterans Memorial Lane (stop 8365), will be closed.
Northbound Halifax Transit buses will turn left onto Veterans Memorial Lane to avoid the work site and a temporary stop will be installed on the north side of Veterans Memorial Lane. Peak period express buses will end their routes and discharge passengers at this location.
Traffic Delays – Summer Street
Location: Summer Street between Bell Road and Veterans Memorial Lane

Work details: Work within the street is required to facilitate the construction of a parkade for the Halifax Infirmary including installation of underground services by the Province of Nova Scotia.

Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.
