Location: Portland Street between Alderney Drive and Prince Street and Alderney Drive near Portland Street
Date: Wednesday, May 12 Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work details: Nova Scotia Power will be replacing underground cables in the area Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place on both Portland Street and Alderney Drive while work is underway. The sidewalk on the east side of Portland Street, between Alderney Drive and Prince Street, will also be closed while work is underway. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct motorists and pedestrian traffic around the work site as necessary. Local access will be maintained at all times. Time: Crews will be on-site from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, including some weekends as needed
Work details: This work is to facilitate concrete curb, gutter repairs, and asphalt paving.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Both sidewalks will be closed intermittently. Pedestrian traffic will be directed around the work site as necessary.

Road Closure – Brigadoon Avenue and Mount Edward Road
Location: 32 Brigadoon Avenue to the intersection of Mount Edward Road
Date: Saturday, May 8 to Sunday, May 9
Time: 8 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday
Work details: This work is for the replacement of a water valve chamber
Traffic impact: 32 Brigadoon Avenue to the intersection of Mount Edward Road will be closed from 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, until 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 9. The closure will be in effect overnight Saturday. Marked detours and barricades will be in place. Local traffic access will be maintained, however, the intersection of Brigadoon Avenue and Mount Edward Road will be closed.
The sidewalk near 85 Mount Edward Road will be closed while work is underway. Sidewalk closure signage will be in place, and pedestrian traffic will be directed around the work site as necessary.
Halifax Transit routes will be on detour throughout the duration of the work. More information can be found here, or by contacting 311.

Location: Spring Garden Road, between South Park Street and Dresden Row
Date: Sunday, May 9
Time: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Work details: Crane required to lift equipment onto the roof of the Nelson Place building.
Traffic impact: Spring Garden Road, between South Park Street and Dresden Row, will be closed while work is underway. Local traffic access for Brenton Street will be maintained from the Dresden Row end.
The sidewalk on the north side of Spring Garden Road from South Park to Dresden Row will also be closed. The south side of the sidewalk will remain open. Pedestrian traffic will be directed around the work site as necessary.
