Road and Sidewalk Closures – Alderney Drive and Queen, Ochterloney and Portland streets
Location: Alderney Drive, and Queen, Ochterloney and Portland streets
Date: Monday, April 26 to Wednesday, April 28
Time: Crews will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day
Work details: Nova Scotia Power Inc. will be replacing underground cables within the downtown Dartmouth area.
Traffic impact: Portland and Queen streets will require a one-way street closure at times to facilitate this work. There will be various lane closures on Alderney Drive and Ochterloney Street while work is underway. Local street access will be maintained at all times via marked detours. Motorists are advised to take alternate routes whenever possible.
Sidewalk closures on Alderney Drive, and Queen, Ochterloney and Portland streets will be in place at various times. Traffic control personnel will be on site to direct pedestrian traffic around the work site as necessary.
.Traffic Delay – South Park Street
Location: South Park Street, between Spring Garden Road and Clyde Street Date: Monday, April 19 Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Work details: Crane work to lift material onto a building roof patio Traffic impact: Two-way traffic will be maintained while work is underway. The north side bike lane, in front of 1445 South Park Street, will be closed around the work zone. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. .Road Construction – Flamingo Drive
Location: Flamingo Drive from Bedford Highway to Dove Street
Date: Monday, April 19 to Wednesday, June 30
Time: Crews will be on-site weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
Work details: This work includes paving, and the renewal of sidewalks, the concrete curb, and gutters
Traffic impact: Occasionally, traffic may be reduced to one lane. Stop and go traffic can be expected. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Note: When work is taking place at the intersection of Flamingo Drive and the Bedford Highway, traffic will be reduced to one lane between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Traffic will flow with the lights.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. .Traffic Delay and Boardwalk Closure – Prince Albert Road
Location: Prince Albert Road, between Nowlan Street and Cottage Hill Drive
Date: Monday, April 19 to Sunday, May 9
Time: Crews will be on-site weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a traffic delay in place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The wooden boardwalk and asphalt trail will be closed until work is complete (including weekends).
Work details: This work is in support of the Banook Boardwalk Rehabilitation project.
Traffic impact: Stop-and-go traffic can be expected on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. One lane of traffic will be maintained at all times. The wooden boardwalk and asphalt trail will be closed while work is underway, however, a protected temporary sidewalk will be installed to allow for pedestrian traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.
