Today's decision was based on the following information: Forecast throughout HRM calling for up to 15 cm of snow and ice pellets prior to noon before transitioning to heavy rain in the afternoon; ​ Visibility on roads will be significantly impacted throughout the morning and road conditions are expected to be poor throughout the day; ​ Winds along the coast will be 60 km/h, gusting to 95 km/h through the day; ​ Due to the timing and accumulation of snow, snow clearing during school hours will be severely impacted.
