Blue Nose Marathon – Street closures, parking impacts and transit disruptions

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents to expect street closures, parking impacts and transit disruptions on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 as a result of the Blue Nose Marathon.

A full list of street closures can be found on the Blue Nose Marathon website. Halifax Regional Police will allow traffic to pass through select areas when participants are not on the street.

Parking bans will also be in effect in several areas, with a full list available online.

A number of Halifax Transit bus routes will be detoured during the races. For details, please visit our website or contact 311.

Every year, the Blue Nose Marathon brings out thousands of participants and spectators. Motorists are advised to drive carefully, allow for extra travel time and to keep an eye out for people on the streets.
