Truro Police investigating fatal snowplow / pedestrian collision 

**** Via Truro Police Truro Police investigating fatal vehicle / pedestrian collision  At approximately 6:30 a.m. this morning, the Truro Police Service, Truro Fire Service, and EHS responded to a call regarding a pedestrian being struck by a snowplow in a parking lot on Queen St. The victim, a 54-year-old female, was transported to hospital by EHS where she later succumbed to her injuries. Our investigation is ongoing into this tragedy, and we can confirm that the involved snowplow was a private contractor, plowing snow in the parking lot of a car dealership, and the female was struck while walking across this parking lot. The female's name is not being released at this time pending notification of her family.
