**** Halifax Water Release
Update – Waverley Road water main repair – Dec. 8, 12:30 p.m.
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents of the following update regarding the water main repair efforts by Halifax Water in the Waverley Road area.
Boil water advisory
Halifax Water has advised that the water main repair has been completed and water service has returned for affected customers; however, water monitoring and testing is still underway. As such, the boil water advisory remains in effect until further notice.

Comfort centre
As water service has been restored, a comfort centre is no longer required for Monday, Dec. 8.
That said, showers, washroom facilities and access to drinking water are available as needed at local recreation facilities during normal weekday hours of operation. These include:
East Dartmouth Community Centre, 50 Caledonia Road, Dartmouth, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Cole Harbour Place, 51 Forest Hills Parkway, Dartmouth, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Zatzman Sportsplex, 110 Wyse Road, Dartmouth, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Road work in the Waverley Road area
Work is underway to repair the road that was impacted by the water main repairs. Crews will be in the area on Monday, Dec. 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 9 to complete repairs and paving.
Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use alternate routes. Drivers are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Halifax Transit
There are no significant impacts to Halifax Transit services as Route 55 has returned to normal service.
