RCMP investigating fatal motor vehicle collision in Port Mouton
Queens District RCMP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision in Port Mouton.
On December 4, at approximately 9:16 a.m., RCMP, EHS and fire services responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 103. Officers learned an eastbound Mazda 3 and a westbound International truck collided on the roadway.
The driver and lone occupant of the Mazda, an 84-year-old man from Port Mouton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver and lone occupant of the International, a 35-year-old man from Chelsea, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision and Hwy. 103 was closed for several hours. It has since reopened.
